Rhododendron rooms are named after the Rhododendron tree that paints a vivid red right in front of the rooms. We have 2 Rhododendron rooms, both independent, largely identical and adjacent to each other. These are our most traditional rooms – stone floor, mud walls and bamboo mat ceiling. The rooms share a large veranda, with magnificent views of the sunset and the rolling hills to the south.

• Each of the Rhododendron rooms has:
  • A King-size bed (72″ wide x 78″ long) which sleeps 2 people
  • A Sofa, which converts into a queen size bed (60″ wide x 72″ long) for a maximum of 2 extra people (children / adults)
  • A single seat sofa
  • 2 outdoor chairs and stools
• Running hot water
• Electricity
• Reading lights
• Bukhari (wood stove)
• Small covered veranda
• Large uncovered veranda

• Forest entry fees – This should be paid at the forest gate before entering the Sanctuary)
• Naturalist guide – We can arrange a naturalist guide, if necessary, at an additional cost
• Driver accommodation – We don’t have driver accommodation in the Retreat. There are plenty of accommodation options for drivers outside the Sanctuary gate, towards Basauli
